The annual beloved event will kick off the holiday season with a festive parade, which will include the renowned Balloon Platoon, the Amador Valley and Foothill High Schools marching bands, animal groups, hot rod clubs and more. Immediately after the parade, there will be musical entertainment featuring Jim Anderson and the Rebels, who will perform a holiday tribute from the songbook Elvis Presley. This musical event will take place on the main stage at the Museum on Main Street and will be followed by the tree lighting from the Mayor with a special visit from Santa.
Main Street will close to vehicular traffic at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 2. Parade viewers are encouraged to shop and dine in historic Downtown Pleasanton after staking out their viewing spaces.
In the event of rain, a parade cancellation telephone hotline will be implemented and updated each hour after 2:30 p.m. on parade day, December 2 – but only if inclement weather is present. The Hometown Holiday Hotline is 925-931-5352. For more information, visit hometownholiday.com
