New Pilot Schedule for the Permit Center

Pre-Nomination Orientation for Prospective Candidates

June 17, 2022 

The City Clerk’s Office will be hosting a pre-nomination orientation session for prospective candidates interested in running for office in the city of Pleasanton in the November 8, 2022, general municipal election. The orientation will include information on district-based elections, city government structure, the role of elected officials, the nomination process, Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) filings, campaign statements and disclosure obligations, and provide resources to help prospective candidates get started. This orientation session is free and registration is not required.

City Council Approves Employment Contract for New City Manager

April 19, 2022 

At the April 19, 2022 regular City Council meeting, Council approved an employment contract with Girard (Gerry) Beaudin to serve as the City's new City Manager. Mr. Beaudin will begin employment on May 23, 2022.

Following Council's action, Mr. Beaudin offered, "I am honored to have been appointed as Pleasanton’s city manager. I look forward to working with the City Council, the organization, and the community to foster the special environment that exists today and to help prepare the community for the future."

Street closure for street intersection improvements at Old Stanley Boulevard at First Street/Stanley Boulevard

June 25, 2019 

Throughout July all Old Stanley Boulevard local traffic will gain access from Main Street, and all through traffic will be detoured around the closure, using either Ray Street or Valley Avenue depending on direction of travel. For example, motorists southbound on Main Street will be advised by signage that Old Stanley Boulevard is closed to through traffic, and will be detoured to Ray Street and on to First Street; motorists traveling northbound on Main Street will be detoured to Valley Avenue to Stanley Boulevard. Beginning Monday, June 24, message boards will be placed on Stanley Boulevard and Main Street alerting motorists to the upcoming closure.
